(and i'm hungry too)

i continued the drunken stupor i was in since yesterday afternoon, when i followed gayle around on her last minute shopping spree for her many, many trips. today, it was with mab and joce, who is going away to the faraway land of uk to join di. and then there are the many others who are flying off to other places in search of their destiny.....of exchange programmes, and whatnots. nothing romantically ambitious, i suppose. while i head to the far east...shopping centre, mingle with the kids with high socks and leggings and multiple accessories trying to be unique, not knowing that they look just like each other. and not forgetting the aunties who try to look like the kids. oh my. i hope i don't turn into one of them, although my haircut has labelled me "20 going on 14". and then there is the wonderful invention of caps. very convenient. went out with my lovely 04asstwelve class last sat where wilson kept asking where my cap was (i had decided to be brave and not wear it). but i stole his fries so we're even. it was nice hanging out with them. we traumatize waitors too.

i'm thinking of the people who venture out of comfort zones to 'find their dreams'. and i'm wondering what it's like, to just pack up everything and go. leave everything behind. that would be fun. but where will you go?

gentle breeze
rustling leaves
hear the wind
through the trees
hear it whisper.

and when the world's a confusing blur, you find youself sitting there, not moving, cos you don't really know what to do, how to move. your mind wanders, it treads on roads you'll never dare venture in reality. and then you find yourself excited, and strangely content, yet at the same time you think that perhaps, this time you've wandered too far. because now you wish it was real.

it's like seeing a nice sneaker and allowing yourself to contemplate a little longer, and later finding out the largest is a size 3.

and then you tell yourself never to venture into the children's department again.
